“DNA, Legally a Cobb, Biologically a Mill”

Find out how DNA can help break down a brick wall in your family history. Roger Cobb will discuss his experience in the use of DNA testing and how it helped to further his research past his grandfather’s generation. He will also talk about DNA basics and how DNA testing can help you. Mr. Cobb has been involved in genealogy research for over 45 years. He was born and raised in Wisconsin. He and his wife, Barbara, moved to Texas in 2005 to be near their daughter.

150th Anniversary of the Great Hanging in Gainesville @ Gainesville Civic Center

The program will be dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Great Hanging at Gainesville, and will be sponsored by the Clark Family in collaboration with the Texas State Historical Association and the Honors Program at North Central Texas College.

It will begin at 8:30 a.m. with presentations at the Gainesville Civic Center, 311 S. Weaver Street, Gainesville, TX; it will end at 4:30 p.m. after a trip to the cemetery.
