The program will be dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Great Hanging at Gainesville, and will be sponsored by the Clark Family in collaboration with the Texas State Historical Association and the Honors Program at North Central Texas College.
It will begin at 8:30 a.m. with presentations at the Gainesville Civic Center, 311 S. Weaver Street, Gainesville, TX; it will end at 4:30 p.m. after a trip to the cemetery.

Sponsored by Ancestry.com and the Mid-Cities Genealogical Society, Ancestry Day will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington, TX.
Ancestry Day will feature sessions taught by Ancestry.com staff members, Crista Cowan and Lisa Arnold. There is an optional lunch with featured speaker Meg Hacker, Director of the Southwest Regional Archives in Fort Worth.
Sessions include: Ancestry 101: New & Review, Getting the Most from Ancestry.com, Part I; Getting the Most from Ancestry.com, Part II; Texas Records on Ancestry.com: “Thick as Dew on Dixie!” and Sharing Your Family Story. The day will also include a panel discussion featuring the Ancestry.com and Texas experts.
